Woodland Wedding at The Arbors Events

Matt & Lindsay were married on the farm during one of the rather cooler months last fall but with our fireplace and fire pit crackling the day seemed effortlessly warm and cozy.  We couldn't be more pleased with the efforts of Meg, owner of  Lime Green Photography, once we finally got our hands on these images. They are moody yet lighthearted and have won their way into our hearts!

Thanks again to Lime Green Photography for sharing!

Bygone Bride | Mrs.Younts

The next installment of our series Bygone Bride features Heather who was married to Daniel at the end of October last year. This time in fall is absolutely breathtaking on our property and their wedding day was no exception! Thanks to Bryan Redding Photography for capturing Heather & Daniel's day!

See what you fall brides have to look forward to?!

Isn't this picture so fun?!? The couple wanted one group shot of everyone in attendance at their wedding.

One of the sweetest first dances we've ever witnessed.

Daniel & Heather recap the highlights of their day below....

What was the best memory from your wedding day?

For me, it was taking the long walk through the grass and turning to see all of the guests and then seeing Daniel. I remember endless smiles through the entire ceremony.

For Daniel, it was the anticipation of his beautiful bride coming down the aisle and our first dance together.

Why did you chose The Arbors Events to host your big day?

The Arbors offered natural beauty so very little had to be done for decoration. The Main Site reception site was being built when we first visited and we loved every bit of it. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces won us over! The house was the perfect place for my family to stay over the wedding weekend. We made ourselves at home and could entertain arriving guests.

What advice to you have for brides who are currently planning their wedding?
Do a little bit of planning at a time. Make lists. Don't get overwhelmed because it's not worth it!  Do what feels right to you, not what others want you to do.  Enjoy every minute of it!

Where do you see you and your new husband in 5 years?

Happy, healthy, enjoying lots of laughter!

Big thanks to Heather & Daniel for sharing their thoughts about their wedding day with us. Working with such a laid-back couple and family helped everything come together with such ease!

Bygone Bride | Mrs. Kirby

Kim and Ryan were married at our Pavilion venue this past August. It was one of the many weddings we had to move inside last summer but regardless of the weather the day turned out beautifully! All of the day's prettiness really shows through in the images below from Kelly Hill of Grace Hill Photography.

We love how Kim incorporated fruit into her décor!

This 4-tiered beauty from Karen's Cakes was one of our favorites from 2013!

This was supposed to be where Kim & Ryan's nuptials took place but Mother Nature had a different plan.

This dance floor stayed packed all night!

Below are Kim's thoughts on her special day......

What was the best memory from your wedding day?

After staring out the window all day in the bridal room wondering if the rain would end, we finally made the decision to move the ceremony inside. While it was not what I had planned and envisioned, when I walked out of the bridal room and down the isle to meet Ryan standing at the beautifully lit fireplace, suddenly I forgot about the rain and it didn't seem to matter. What mattered most was that look on his face as I turned the corner. It was unforgettable!

Why did you chose The Arbors Events to host your big day?

I knew I always wanted to get married outside. After researching local farms in the Charlotte region I loved the classy yet country style of The Arbors. I also loved the fact that it had the option for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception hall. Then I saw pictures from a friend's wedding who got married there in June 2012 and they [the pictures] confirmed that I wanted to get married there.

What advice to you have for brides who are currently planning their wedding?

Hire a wedding planner! Hiring Heidi Crowder with Carolina Weddings and Events was the best decision I made. It was so helpful to have someone who could answer all my wedding questions, and she made sure everything went smooth for the wedding day. When we had to switch to Plan B due to rain, she and her team worked swiftly to make it beautiful. A wedding planner is a must!

Where do you see you and your new husband in 5 years?

Definitely settled down in the country with one or two kids!

We absolutely agree with Kim on the aspect of hiring a wedding planner! We also offer planning and coordination packages to all of our brides. Hiring our team can be one of the most beneficial things you can invest in! If you are an Arbors bride debating hiring someone for Day-Of Coordination, Partial Coordination, or Full Planning and Coordination please contact our on-site coordinator, Brandy Childs, to discuss!
